Three men, including a doctor, were arrested for black marketing Remdesivir vials in Tamil Nadu.
The Tamil Nadu Police arrested three men, including a doctor, involved in black marketing of Remdesivir which is an injectable anti-viral drug repurposed for Covid-19 treatment. As the Covid-19 cases surged across the state, the demand for Remdesivir has increased so much so that one vial of Remdesivir, which generally costs Rs 3,400, is being sold at Rs 20,000 in the black market. Taking note of the situation, the Tamil Nadu government decided to open counters and sell the drug to the public.More Related News
