A video of a local DMK functionary in Tamil Nadu threatening a cop with consequences for arresting three persons in connection with a robbery case is doing rounds on the Internet. As Abhiramapuram police was preparing to remand the three robbery suspects, a local DMK functionary, Rajendran, reached the police station and argued with the police personnel in the station for 2 hours. Rajendran was seen arguing that the accused should not be booked and that he had informed the constituency MLA, station inspector and other higher police officials about releasing the three accused.
