Dilapidated Tata Nagar building in Mumbai awaits repair and redevelopment

The Tata Nagar Society is one of Mumbai's 407 dilapidated structures. Since a portion of the flooring on the third floor collapsed in2018, residents have been using a rope to cross that portion of the building.
Following a pre-monsoon survey, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) identified 407 dilapidated buildings in Mumbai as unsafe for occupation, with Tata Nagar Society being one of them. Since a portion of the flooring on the third floor of the building collapsed in 2018, residents have been using a rope to cross it. The redevelopment of this dilapidated building, which houses former Swadeshi Mills employees, has been halted due to a court case.More Related News
