
DGP honours Tamil Nadu police personnel for medal haul at All India Police Duty Meet

DGP Sandeep Rai Rathore honors Tamil Nadu Police for their impressive 13-medal haul at the All India Police Duty Meet.
Director General of Police and Head of Police Force Sandeep Rai Rathore on Monday felicitated Tamil Nadu Police personnel who won medals at the 69th All India Police Duty Meet, commending their performance and dedication.
He presented the medals and certificates to the winners at a function attended by Additional Director General of Police and Director of Tamil Nadu Police Academy R. Dhinakaran and other senior officers.
The 69th All India Police Duty Meet 2025 was held in Nagpur, Maharashtra, from March 29 to April 3. The Tamil Nadu Police team, comprising 76 personnel and seven trained dogs, participated in the meet. Officials said the team underwent four months of intensive training at the Tamil Nadu Police Academy in Vandalur, under the guidance of Mr. Rathore and Mr. Dhinakaran.
Tamil Nadu Police emerged as one of the top-performing teams, securing a total of 13 medals — five gold, four silver, and four bronze — the highest medal tally at the meet. The team also won the Winner’s Trophy in Scientific Aids to Investigation and secured third place (Hard-Line Trophy) in the same category.
