
Devotees in Andhra raise 'go back' slogans against minister over delayed darshan in temple

Andhra Pradesh's new Endowments minister, K Satyanarayana, was faced with angry devotees who were made to wait 4 hours for darshan due to his visit. The angry devotees began raising slogans of ‘go back’ against the minister at the Srikalahasti temple.
Angry devotees at the Srikalahasti temple in Andhra Pradesh raised ‘go back’ slogans when their darshan was delayed by 4 hours due to a VIP visit by the new Endowment minister, K Satyanarayanan.
For over four hours, reportedly, devotees had to stand in the queue and the unprecedented delay in darshan triggered anger among the people. Soon, the devotees began raising slogans of ‘go back’ against the minister.
The minister tried pacifying the devotees, but their anger left him stunned and red-faced. As a result, he ordered authorities to not stop darshan for devotees during VIP visits in the future.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
