BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis met Sharad Pawar at the NCP supremo’s Mumbai residence on Monday, sparking speculation in the political corridors of Maharashtra.
BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, who is the Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, met NCP supremo Sharad Pawar at his Mumbai residence on Monday afternoon, raising eyebrows in the political corridors. The meeting between Sharad Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis has raised many eyebrows inside as well as outside the political circles as Fadnavis shared a picture of the meeting on his social media handles. Even as speculation started doing the rounds, Fadnavis's close aides called it a 'goodwill meet' while also adding that the former CM had gone to inquire on Sharad Pawar’s health. The NCP supremo recently underwent surgeries at the Breach Candy Hospital.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
