A dentist was killed while another doctor was injured after the car they were travelling in rammed into a tractor loaded with iron rods near Ghatgate in Jaipur on Monday night.

Both the victims were posted at a government hospital in Dausa and had come to Jaipur for shopping with friends.
According to police, the accident occurred late at night between 12 and 1 AM when both the doctors were returning home after shopping in Jaipur. It was about 200 metres before the Transport Nagar intersection when their car rammed into a tractor carrying iron bars, leaving Praveen Vyas, dead on the spot.
Meanwhile, Amit Kumar, a physician, sustained injuries on his hand and head.
Dr Praveen Vyas, who was driving the car, failed to see the tractor ahead due to darkness.
Soon, police were informed, who reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital. Amit is currently undergoing treatment at the Trauma Center.
The deceased, Praveen Vyas, was established as a dentist in the district hospital and is survived by his wife and two children.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
