
Delhi to Meerut in 45 minutes, Expressway now open to public

The much-awaited Delhi-Meerut Expressway is now open. In a tweet, Union minister Nitin Gadkari wrote, "We have fulfilled our promise of reducing travel time between Delhi - Meerut from 2.5 hours to 45 minutes."
Travelling from Delhi to Meerut in less than an hour is now a reality. The 82-km Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME) is now open to the public. Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari said, “Delhi Meerut Expressway has now been completed & opened to traffic. We have fulfilled our promise of reducing travel time between Delhi - Meerut from 2.5 hours to 45 minutes.”
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
