Delhi reports over 700 new Covid cases in last 24 hours, recovery rate at 97.81%

With parts of the country witnessing a surge in Covid-19 cases, Delhi on Friday reported 716 new confirmed cases of infection along with four more virus-related deaths.

Delhi on Friday reported 716 new cases of Covid-19 along with four more virus-related deaths. The national capital now has 3,165 active cases of infection as per the Delhi government's health department. Taking cognisance of the sudden surge in the covid cases, all Delhi Govt hospitals will hereby operate vaccination sites in their premises till atleast 9pm.Adequate man power will be deployed to ensure the same.I request Delhiites to follow proper protocols and stay safe! pic.twitter.com/Q1aodNML4J March 19 was the first day of this year when Delhi recorded more than 700 fresh confirmed cases of infection. The last time Delhi's daily tally of new Covid-19 cases crossed the 700-mark was December 27 of last year. Similarly, Delhi's infection rate on December 28 was 0.98 per cent. The same is now 0.93 per cent according to the latest figures.
