Delhi on Monday registered its highest ever single-day Covid death toll with 448 new deaths in 24 hours. The city also reported 18,043 fresh Covid-19 cases in the same period.
Delhi broke its record for highest ever single-day Covid death toll in the city by reporting 448 new Covid-related deaths in 24 hours on Monday. The case fatality rate currently stands at 1.44 per cent and Delhi’s total Covid death toll is 17,414. More than 60,000 samples were tested on Monday, of which 51,185 were RT-PCR tests and 9,860 were rapid antigen tests.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
