
Delhi Police to file chargesheet in rape cases of 2 minor girls within 30 days: MHA

The home ministry held a meeting with Delhi Police officials and said chargesheets in both the cases will be filed within 30 days. It added the cases will be heard in special fast-track courts.
The Union Home Ministry has asked the Delhi Police to submit chargesheets in cases related to the rape of two minor girls in Delhi within 30 days. The ministry held a meeting with officials of the Delhi Police to discuss these cases on Thursday. The first case involved the rape and murder of a 9-year-old girl in the Nangal area of Delhi, while the second case involved rape of a 6-year-old girl in Mayur Vihar.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
