
Delhi Police files FIR against AAP's Ramesh Matiala

An FIR has been lodged against an AAP councillor for allegedly misbehaving with a party worker and directing two women workers to slap her in front of him.
Delhi Police has registered an FIR against Ramesh Matiala, AAP councillor from Matiala ward, for allegedly misbehaving with a party worker and asking two other workers to assault her. The police will be calling the woman in the coming days to record her statement before the magistrate, under Section 164 of CrPC, before making any arrests. According to the victim, the incident took place on May 28 when the councillor called two women party workers and directed them to slap her in front of him.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
