Delhi police bust robbery gang being operated by gangster lodged in Tihar Jail

The gang was being run by jailed gangster Deepak Baijania, who was directing the accused over WhatsApp calls. Illegal weapons were recovered from the gang members.

A team of Special Investigation Unit (SIU-II) of the Delhi Police’s Crime Branch on Thursday arrested three persons busting a robbery gang. The accused were operating at the instance of jailed gangster Deepak Baijania. They were planning a house robbery in Trans Yamuna areas in East Delhi, according to the police. The police got the information that Deepak Baijania, a close associate of gangsters Jitender Gogi and Neeraj Bawania, had planned to commit a major house robbery through his associates hailing from Sonipat, Haryana.
