Delhi police arrests 2 shooters of Neeraj Bawana gang, arms and ammunition recovered

Delhi police arrested two sharpshooters of the Neeraj Bawana gang and recovered arms and ammunition from the possession of the accused.
The crime branch of Delhi Police nabbed two sharpshooters of the Neeraj Bawana gang on Saturday. The accused have been identified as Naveen Kala (26) and Ashwani Sonu (28), both residents of Haryana.
Police also recovered pistols and live cartridges from the possession of the accused. On June 22, police received information that one of the shooters, Naveen Kala, would come near Najafgarh, Delhi with arms and ammunition.
Naveen told the police that he and his brother Ashwani, who is lodged in Tihar jail, wanted to avenge the death of Rajiv Kala and kill all persons involved in the latter's murder.
On 22 March 2017, Rajeev Kala Asodiya was shot dead during a court appearance at Jhajjar court by the shooters of Ashok Pradhan Nilothiya. After the death of Rajeev Kala , gang members joined Neeraj Bawana and Naveen Bali's gang.
Police laid a trap and Kala was apprehended after a short scuffle broke out between him and the police. Police recovered a country made pistol with three live cartridges and another pistol with two live cartridges from his possession.
Naveen and his brother Ashwani want to take revenge for the murder of Rajiv Kala on the instruction of Neeraj Bawana, police said.
