
Delhi L-G directs officials to ensure Covid-appropriate behaviour in public places

Delhi's L-G instructed the chief secretary, Commissioner of Police and other senior officials to be on alert and ensure full preparedness to combat the Covid crisis.
In the wake of detection of new Covid strain which has spread across four countries on two continents, Delhi's Lieutenant Governor (L-G) Anil Baijal instructed the chief secretary, Commissioner of Police and other senior officials concerned to be on alert and ensure full preparedness to combat any future crisis.
The direction is to maintain strict adherence of Covid-appropriate behaviour in public places and functions and to check for full preparedness in hospitals to handle any emergency situation.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
