
Delhi HC strongly reprimands Drug Controller for clean chit to Gautam Gambhir, demands fresh investigation

Hearing the case related to the hoarding of medicines, the Delhi High Court expressed its dissatisfaction over the Drug Controller report that gave clean chits to BJP MP Gautam Gambhir and AAP MLA Pradeep Kumar.
In the case related to the hoarding of medicines, the Delhi High Court strongly reprimanded the Drug Controller for giving a clean chit to cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir. It also ordered a re-investigation and a fresh report. The high court expressed its dissatisfaction over the Drug Controller report that gave clean chits to BJP MP Gautam Gambhir and AAP MLA Pradeep Kumar. Asking what legal provisions were followed in the case of Gambhir and Kumar, the court said, "It seems that the drug controller has not appreciated the legal aspects involved."
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
