The development has come amid the surge in cases of dengue in Delhi. According to a civic report released on Monday, the national capital reported 280 dengue cases last week, taking the total tally to over 1,000 cases this year.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
