Delhi: DG Prisons issues strict instructions for Tihar jail after Rohini court shootout

In view of the shootout incident inside Delhi’s Rohini court on Saturday, the Tihar jail authorities have been strictly ordered to prevent fights between rival gangs in prison.

In view of gangster Jitender’s murder inside Delhi’s Rohini court on Saturday, the director-general of Delhi Prisons, Sandeep Goel, issued strict instructions for all the jails of Tihar. The jail authorities were directed to maintain "maximum alert" to prevent any untoward incident inside the prison.

“It is directed that maximum alert should be maintained in all jails to prevent any incident of assault or fight amongst these [rival] gangs,” said one of the guidelines issued on Saturday.
