Delhi court summons TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee’s wife over ED’s complaint

A Delhi court has summoned TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee’s wife, Rujira Banerjeee, on the complaint filed by the ED over her refusal to join the probe in connection with a coal smuggling case.

A Delhi court has issued summons to Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee’s wife, Rujira Banerjee, on the Enforcement Directorate’s complaint against her. The agency in their complaint alleged that Rujira Banerjee had failed to appear before the agency despite multiple summons being issued to her in connection with a coal smuggling case.

Rujira Banerjee has been directed to appear before the Patiala House Court on September 30.
