Harbhajan Singh has claimed that Deepak Chahar is the better-skilled bowler at the moment compared to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Harbhajan also commented on Arshdeep Singh and said it would be unfair to expect him to perform perfectly in pressure situations so early in his career.
Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh has claimed that in the current scenario, Deepak Chahar is a better-skilled bowler than Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Chahar was initially named on the standby list for the T20 World Cup in Australia. However, the injury to Jasprit Bumrah has offered some hope for the pacer to be included in the squad for the tournament.
Kumar hasn't had the best of times in the past few months as he has been leaking runs in the death overs.
Speaking to PTI, Harbhajan said that Chahar is the only bowler at the moment who can get swing up-front and in both ways. He went on to say that the 30-year-old is currently the better-skilled bowler as compared to Kumar.
The former cricketer also went on to say that while the veteran pacer has a lot of experience, he has been leaking runs at the death and that allows the game to slip away.
“Deepak Chahar is the only bowler who can get the ball to swing up-front and both ways and looks like getting 2-3 wickets in Powerplay."
