There was a discussion about bars but there was no demand for money from former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh or his associates, Divisional Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dr Raju Bhujbal told the Chandiwal commission.
Divisional Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dr Raju Bhujbal, who was heading the Social Services eBranch of Mumbai Police between 2020 and 2021, told the Chandiwal commission that there was a discussion about bars but there was no demand for money from former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh or his associates.
Bhujbal told the Chandiwala commission that he was appointed as Nodal Officer during the Legislative Assembly session from March 1 to 10, 2021. He said that it was his duty to coordinate with different policemen in relation to the questions that were being asked in the Maharashtra Assembly and had to brief the home minister.Bhujbal was being cross examined by Deshmukh's lawyer Girish Kulkarni.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
