Lakhbir Singh, who was murdered at the Singhu border near Delhi on October 15, was booked by the Haryana Police for disrespecting the holy scriptures called Sarvloh Granth.
The case was lodged by Sonipat police on October 17 based on a complaint filed by the two murder accused -- Bhagwant Singh and Govind Preet Singh.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
