Crime Branch to probe spurious Covid drugs case after seizure from different districts in Odisha

The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Police Crime Branch will probe the seizure of alleged spurious Covid-19 drugs in different parts of the state.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered the Crime Branch of Odisha Police to investigate the seizure of alleged spurious Covid-19 drugs in different parts of the state. On June 11, Drugs Control officials from different districts seized counterfeit Covid drugs in Balangir, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Rourkela and Bhubaneswar, a day after a huge quantity of fake Favipiravir tablets were recovered in Cuttack on June 10. Later, Health and Family Welfare Department Additional Chief Secretary Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra directed Odisha State Medical Corporation Ltd and the police to jointly probe the matter and submit a report, following which CM Naveen Patnaik on Monday ordered the Crime Branch to investigate the matter.More Related News
