CPI condemns BJP MLC Somu Veerraju comments against Narayana
The Communist Party of India (CPI) State secretary K. Ramakrishna has condemned the remarks of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLC Somu Veeraju against CPI national secretary K Narayana.
In a statement on Sunday, Mr. Ramakrishna condemned the “reckless remarks” made by Mr. Somu Veerraju. Mr. Narayana, who, in his capacity as a political leader, expressed public opinion stating that the world must unite to eliminate terrorism, and if necessary, war might become unavoidable. Mr. Veerraju’s statement that Mr. Narayana should be sent to Pakistan is utterly delusional and unacceptable, Mr. Ramakrishna said.
He demanded that Somu Veerraju withdraw his remarks against Mr. Narayana. Mr. Ramakrishna also advised Mr. Veerraju to resign from his MLC post and live with Mr. Trump in the United States if he holds him in such a high regard.

After being repeatedly disrupted for three consecutive days over issues ranging from the Governor’s address and alleged disrespect to the national anthem to demands for the resignation of the Excise Minister, among others, normalcy finally returned to the Legislative Council on Friday, with proceedings commencing.
