Quoting a research conducted by scientists from Hisar's agriculture university, Governor Acharya Devvrat said that one gram of cow dung has over 300 crore bacteria which help in improving the fertility of the soil. This can increase farmers' income, he said. One example is Gujarat’s AMUL where over 30 lakh farmers are associated with this and are prosperous, Governor Acharya Devvrat added.
