In the wake of increasing Covid-19 cases in the country, the Election Commission will hold a meeting to discuss door-to-door campaigning and rallies on Wednesday ahead of the assembly polls.
On Tuesday, the poll body held a meeting to discuss how many polling stations should be established by increasing their numbers in view of Covid-19. They also discussed the important rules related to duty for election officers and employees.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
