Seeking assistance, a Covid-19 patient in Lucknow dialled the Uttar Pradesh government's coronavirus helpline only to be told by the person on the other side of the call to "go die".

Along with his wife, Santosh Kumar Singh got himself tested for Covid-19 on April 10. The couple decided to self-isolate after experiencing symptoms of the disease.
