The crisis triggered by the second wave of COVID-19 impeded the distribution of long-lasting insecticide-treated nets (LLINs), the critical tools for pre-empting the outbreaks of vector-borne diseases in the district’s interior tribal pockets, ahead of the monsoon season. More than 1.60 lakh LLINs were sanctioned to the tribal-dominated district comprising around 500 “high risk” villages earlier this year under the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP).More Related News
