
Cops went to collect footage regarding theft case: Police on Wankhede's snooping charge

Denying allegations of monitoring NCB officer Sameer Wankhede's movements, Mumbai Police said that two cops had gone to the cemetery where Wankhede's mother was buried to collect CCTV footage regarding a vehicle theft case.
Mumbai Police said in a report that allegations by NCB officer Sameer Wankhede that his movements were being monitored by cops were not true. Sameer Wankhede, the NCB's Mumbai zonal director, is investigating the alleged drug bust case involving Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan.
Earlier this month, an NCB official had claimed that two officials, reportedly from the Oshiwara police station, allegedly visited a cemetery where Wankhede's mother was buried and collected CCTV footage.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
