Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the future of Kerala is the BJP. He added that the Congress was vanishing from India.
Addressing the southern zonal council meeting in Kerala, Union Home Minister Amit Shah made stark remarks with regard to the future of the state and the Congress party. Shah said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was the future of the southern states and that the world was 'getting rid of communist parties'.
In a blatant attack on Congress, the home minister said that the party was disappearing from India.
"Congress is on extinction from India and the communist party is on the verge of extinction from the world. In Kerala, only the BJP party has a future," said Amit Shah at the BJP SC conference in Thiruvananthapuram.

Amit Shah hailed the BJP-led Centre and its decision to uplift the backward and minority classes. He further said, "The Congress party and the Communists never worked for the welfare of the Scheduled Tribes. They treated them as mere vote banks."

As per Amit Shah, Congress had overlooked the contribution of Dr BR Ambedkar as he was not accorded with Bharat Ratna under its regime.
