
Congress's Abhishek Manu Singhvi slams 'Two Indias' satire by Vir Das, Shashi Tharoor lauds it

While Abhishek Manu Singhvi criticised Vir Das for 'generalising the evils of a few Indians', Shashi Tharoor called it 'brilliant'.
Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Tuesday, November 16, slammed standup comedian Vir Das for his ‘dual India’ satire video that he uploaded on YouTube on Monday. Abhishek Manu Singhvi tweeted: “Generalising the evils of a few individuals and vilifying the nation as a whole in front of the world is just not done! The people who painted India in front of the west as a nation of saperas and luteras during the colonial rule have not ceased to exist.”

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
