A closer look at the series of events that started from Congress’s Udaipur Nav Chintan Sankalp Shivir shows that the Rajya Sabha nominations are the beginning of the implementation of party’s strategy for Lok Sabha 2024 poll preparations
Congress released the list containing the names of 10 Rajya Sabha candidates on Sunday evening. The list includes names of top party leaders like former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Ajay Maken and Jairam Ramesh. But, the moment the list was out, there were "reports" about a lot of heartburns.
However, a closer look at the series of events that started from party’s recently concluded Udaipur Nav Chintan Sankalp Shivir shows that the Rajya Sabha nominations are the beginning of the implementation of party’s strategy for Lok Sabha 2024 poll preparations.
Transition
The Rajya Sabha nominations clearly indicate that "old guards" in the party have been eased out whereas new "generals" have emerged.
Congress party’s transition phase is going on wherein a lot of senior faces, many of them who were G23 members, have missed the bus to Rajya Sabha.
