
Congress president Sonia Gandhi to meet leaders of opposition parties virtually on Friday

Congress president Sonia Gandhi has called a virtual meeting of top Opposition leaders from across the country on Friday evening. However, Aam Aadmi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party have not been invited for the same.
In a grand show of strength, the top leaders of at least 14 opposition parties will meet virtually on Friday evening. The meeting has been called by Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Among the top Opposition leaders who are attending the meeting are West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Nationalist Congress Party president Sharad Pawar.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
