Congress moves Lokayukta over BMC’s ‘failure’ to demolish Big B’s wall for road widening

Congress has moved Maharashtra Lokayukta over BMC’s ‘failure’ to demolish a part of Amitabh Bachchan's Prateeksha bungalow in Juhu for a road-widening project. The Lokayukta has asked a report from BMC.

The Congress has complained to the Maharashtra Lokayukta about the “failure” of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to demolish a part of Amitabh Bachchan's Prateeksha bungalow in Juhu so that a portion of land can be taken over for a road-widening project.

The Congress has alleged that the BMC hasn’t acted despite asking survey officials to demarcate the portion in July.
