The Congress on Saturday expelled Haryana MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi over Rajya Sabha cross-voting.
Congress President has expelled Kuldeep Bishnoi from all the present party positions, including the post of Special Invitee of the Congress Working Committee with immediate effect, stated a letter released by party's general secretary KC Venugopal.

Bishnoi is said to have voted for JJP-backed BJP-supported Independent candidate Kartikeya Shama.
Two Congress MLAs cross-voted in Haryana as the party candidate got only 29 votes out of 31 and independent backed by BJP Kartikeya Sharma defeated him with a slight margin.
Bishnoi had earlier tweeted a cryptic message which read: "I have the capability to crush snakes' hood, do not leave the jungle in the fear of snakes."
