Former legislator Rajkumar Patil Telkur criticizes Congress government's failures, highlighting price rises, unemployment, scams, and lack of achievements.
Criticising the Congress-led State government for failing to fulfill its promises, the former legislator Rajkumar Patil Telkur has said that the scheduled Sadhana Samavesha in Hosapete of Ballari district on Tuesday, to mark the Siddaramaiah-led government’s completion of two years in power, is a celebration without significant achievements.
Releasing posters highlighting the Congress government’s failure here on Monday, Mr. Telkur said that the government is burdening people with its price rise policies, from milk and water to electricity tariffs, public transport fares and the rise in prices of essential commodities and daily services has worsened the financial burden on citizens.
The Siddaramaiah-led Congress government in the State has nothing to tell about its achievements. Will Siddaramaiah highlight the scams that took place during his tenure in the last two years, Mr Telkur asked.
The State government has failed to address rising unemployment, while development has gone into reverse gear, he said.
The embezzlement of funds in the Valmiki Development Corporation came to light after the suicide of a Corporation accounts superintendent, while the MUDA site allotment scam amounting to hundreds of crores has cast a long shadow over Mr. Siddaramaiah’s leadership, he said.
Mr. Telkur said that the BJP will release a booklet highlighting the failures of the State government in the coming days.
MLAs Basavaraj Mattimod and Avinash Jadhav and MLC B.G. Patil were present.
