
‘Complete betrayal’: TMC’s Mukul Sangma reacts to Congress support for NPP govt in Meghalaya

Reacting to the Congress party’s decision to support the Meghalaya Democractic Alliance government led by the National People’s Party in Meghalaya, former CM Mukul Sangma said it was a “complete betrayal”.
Reacting to the Congress party’s decision to support the Meghalaya Democractic Alliance (MDA) government led by the National People’s Party (NPP) in Meghalaya, former chief minister Mukul Sangma said it was a “complete betrayal”.
On December 17, the Congress Legislature Party in the state declared its “full support” to the NPP-led MDA government in Meghalaya. The BJP is one of the constituents of this alliance, which is headed by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
