Coalition NDA government in Andhra Pradesh has failed on all fronts, says YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. Besides not implementing its election promises and making budgetary allocations, it has done away with the schemes initiated by the YSRCP government, he alleges.
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy says people are vexed with the coalition NDA government in Andhra Pradesh as it has failed on all fronts.
“It is time we speak up against the false propaganda and diversion politics,” Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, while addressing leaders from the local bodies in Prakasam district, at the party office on December 11, 2024 (Wednesday).
Accusing Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of resorting to diversion politics to cover the failures up of the government, he said the YSRCP had taken up the agitation path to highlight the “anti-people” policies.
The coalition government failed to implement its election promises and make budgetary allocations, he said.
“In contrast, in our term, we gave annual welfare calendar with dates and adopted the DBT format to avoid corruption and middlemen,” he said.
The coalition government had done away with the welfare schemes implemented by the YSRCP, he said. “Farmers are not getting MSP and paddy procurement has not been taken up. Fee reimbursement has not been given, affecting the students. Power charges have been increased, burdening the people,” he alleged.
The former Chief Minister underscored the YSRCP’s governance record, which, he said, focused on transparency, welfare, and infrastructure development, including RBKs, door-to-door rice distribution, medical colleges, Ramayapatnam port and Veligonda irrigation tunnels.
