While the 16-year-old Priya Bora was eating litchi, a seed stuck in her throat, leading to breathing problems. Her family tried to take her to the hospital but she had already breathed her last.
In a shocking incident in Assam's Jorhat district, a 16-year-old girl died after a litchi seed was stuck in her throat. It took place at Kakajan Sonari village under Teok police station on Sunday. The deceased girl was identified as 16-year-old Priya Bora. According to the reports, the father of the girl, who is a police constable, had brought home some litchis from the market. While she was eating litchi, a seed stuck in her throat, leading to breathing problems. The family members immediately admitted her to Teok FRU hospital, but she had already breathed her last.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
