A clash between two groups in Sankhavaram village in Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada during the Ambedekar Jayanti procession left multiple people injured. Police have imposed Section 144 in the area as a result.
Many people were injured after a clash broke out between two groups during the Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations at Sankhavaram village in Andhra Pradesh's Kakinada district on Thursday night. The clashes erupted during the procession carried out to celebrate the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar.
It was alleged that one group was attacked by another group, which left several people injured.
Police reached the spot immediately and Section 144 was imposed in the area.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
