The Supreme Court collegium led by Chief Justice of India N V Ramana has recommended the names of seven advocates as judges at the Delhi High Court.
The Supreme Court collegium led by Chief Justice of India N V Ramana has recommended the names of seven advocates as judges in the Delhi High Court. The collegium resolutions were passed on Thursday but were made public on Friday.

The names of the seven advocates who were recommended for elevation at Delhi High court are Vikas Mahajan, Tushar Rao Gadela, Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora, Sachin Datta, Amit Mahajan, Gaurang Kanth and Saurabh Banerjee.
From the seven advocates, two are serving as central government counsel in the Delhi High Court and two used to represent the Centre till a few years back.
The Delhi High Court is presently working with 35 judges against the sanctioned strength of 60 judges.

Apart from Delhi, the collegium also recommended the elevation of seven judicial officers for Patna High Court and for an advocate in Andhra Pradesh High Court.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
