China capable of disrupting systems by launching cyber attacks on India: CDS Bipin Rawat 

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat said on Wednesday that China has the capability to disrupt systems by launching cyber attacks on India, adding that a mechanism is being readied to combat these.

China has the capability to disrupt systems by launching cyber attacks on India and a mechanism is being readied to combat these, including measures such as help from western nations, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat said on Wednesday at an event in Delhi. Speaking on the current limitations, he said, "We may not be able to fully catch up with China. So we are trying to develop some kind of relationship with western nations and see how better we can get some support from them, during peacetime at least, which will help us to overcome this deficiency." He pointed out that China has a first-mover advantage as India was slow to start cyber warfare capabilities that have led to the gaps.
