Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reiterated the state's demand for GST compensation and reimbursement of expenditure of Rs 15,000 crore made by the state government for eradication of Naxalism.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reiterated the state's demand of GST compensation, transferring of the amounts collected as 'additional levy' from coal block companies and reimbursement of expenditure of Rs 15,000 crore made by the state government for eradication of Naxalism.
During the pre-budget meeting held at Vigyan Bhavan, Bhupesh Baghel said that Chhattisgarh's economy has been impacted due to the disruption of economic activities during the Covid-19 pandemic.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
