Chargesheeted Delhi riots protestors move Bombay HC to seek quashing of FIR

16 citizens of Mumbai, who had taken part in a solidarity march for Delhi riots victims in Mumbai last year, have approached the Bombay High Court for quashing the criminal proceedings against them.

16 citizens of Mumbai have approached the Bombay High Court seeking to quash the criminal proceedings that were initiated by the police against them for carrying out a candlelight vigil in Dadar on February 26, 2020. The candlelight march was to show solidarity with the victims and people of Delhi during the last year's riots in the national capital. Allegedly, Mumbai Police had put up prohibitory orders around that time which the protestors had violated by holding the solidarity march.
