
Chandigarh reports 801 new Covid positive cases, 2 deaths in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, Chandigarh logged 801 new Covid positive cases. Around two deaths were reported Tuesday.
Amid the rise in the Covid-19 cases, Chandigarh reported around 801 new Covid positive cases and two deaths in the last 24 hours. Out of the two deceased, one was a fully vaccinated 55-year-old woman who had suffered a seizure disorder and the other was a 60-year-old man.
As per the report by The Tribune, on Tuesday, 3,446 samples were taken for testing. The positivity rate in the city was 23.24 per cent.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
