Chandigarh: Kidnappers demand Rs 50 lakh from teen’s father, later release him without ransom

A 15-year-old was kidnapped in Manimajra by three who sought Rs 50 lakh ransom from his family. The kidnappers, however, later released the boy unharmed without taking any ransom.
A 15-year-old Chandigarh boy was on Tuesday kidnapped by three men who demanded Rs 50 lakh from his family. Kidnappers, however, released the teen after a few hours without any ransom. The incident took place in Manimajra where the boy had gone out cycling with his friends. The father of the minor told Hindustan Times that his son was near a railway crossing in Manimajra when he was dragged into a white Maruti Suzuki Brezza by three men. Later, he received a call on his phone. He said the kidnapper demanded Rs 50 lakh ransom to free the son, threatening to kill his son if he failed to pay, the report added.More Related News
