Chandigarh: 19-year-old who attacked three friends with sharp weapons arrested

Police have arrested one of the six persons accused of attacking three friends near a school in Chandigarh's Sector 56. On Monday night, six people, including a 19-year-old, had started a fight with the three victims before attacking them with sharp-edged weapons, reported Hindustan Times. According to police, the attack was the fallout of an old rivalry and the two groups had also engaged in an argument a few days ago.
Quoting the police, HT reported that the accused, identified as Ashu(19), along with his companions Ganja, Gaurav, Sojal, Noni and Komal stabbed three people. A case has been registered against the accused under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) considering the nature of injuries inflicted.
