Chamarajanagar DC cautions travellers against visiting tourist spots in Nilgiris district

Tamil Nadu government has restricted tourists from visiting popular tourist destinations like Doddabetta, Pine Forests, Lamb’s Rock, Avalanchi, 9th Mile Shooting Point, Boat House, Pykara and Ooty.
Deputy Commissioner of Chamarajanagar district in Karnataka has advised people against travelling to tourist destinations in Nilgiris district in adjoining Tamil Nadu, which has been experiencing heavy rainfall over the last two days.
On May 26, Deputy Commissioner of Chamaranagara district Shilpa Nag, who is also Chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority, cautioned the citizens of Chamarajanagar against planning trips to Nilgiris district till the rains subside.
Citing a telephonic message from the Deputy Commissioner of Nilgiris district, Tamil Nadu, Ms. Nag said the Tamil Nadu government has restricted tourists from visiting popular tourist destinations like Doddabetta, Pine Forests, Lamb’s Rock, Avalanchi, 9th Mile Shooting Point, Boat House, Pykara and Ooty.
