The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has decided to grant 'Y' category security to poet and activist Kumar Vishvas.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has decided to grant 'Y' category security to poet and activist Kumar Vishvas, sources told India Today.
A decision in this regard was taken on Saturday on the basis of the Intelligence Bureau's (IB) threat perception.
The agency believes that there is a threat to Kumar Vishvas over his recent remarks against Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party's national convener Arvind Kejriwal.
Jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will now be responsible for Kumar Vishvas's safety.
The 'Y' category security cover involves eight personnel, five of whom are stationed at the protectee's residence.
As per protocol, the other three accompany the protectee wherever he/she goes in three shifts.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.
