Centre accords 'Z' category security cover to Suvendu Adhikar's brother Soumendu Adhikari

The home ministry sanctioned 'Z' category armed security cover to BJP MP Soumendu Adhikari, who is the younger brother of Suvendu Adhikari. A lower category 'Y+' security cover was extended to GCPA's Ananta Maharaj as well.

The Centre accorded 'Z' category armed security cover to BJP leader Soumendu Adhikari. He is the younger brother of BJP's Suvendu Adhikari, who is the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the West Bengal Assembly. The central government also extended a lower category of 'Y+' security cover to Greater Cooch Behar People's Association (GCPA) leader Nagendra Ray, who is famously known as Ananta Maharaj. Reportedly, he has a considerable following among the Rajbangshi community.
